Aug 09, 2022The thing with sponsorship is that you need to be thinking about it all the time, so whether it is the Australian financial year, UK financial year, or US financial year. You need to be seeking sponsorship every month of every year to gain sponsorship.
There's no point in asking somebody in November what they're going to do; there is absolutely no point. And it's my cringe-worthy thing. When someone goes, "hey guys, we are looking for backers in six weeks, if you're a sponsor, you want to get on board; please come on board" I hate it. They're never going to do it because it takes a lot of time to gain sponsorship.
It would be best to keep in mind that you may get a product or service sponsorship. But then, at the end of the day, it will become a partnership that will develop over the next three to five years.
