I get it. F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport. It’s fast, glamorous, and a global spectacle. But here’s the thing—it’s not my jam.

My why has always been grassroots motorsport.

Because without grassroots, there is no F1.

For me, motorsport isn’t about the glitz of Monaco or the multi-million-dollar sponsorships of F1. It’s about the racers grinding week after week, making sacrifices to chase their dreams, and figuring out how to keep their racing season alive with limited resources.

It’s about the families, the local sponsors, the race weekends fueled by passion (and probably a hot dog from the track canteen).

At this level, sponsorship isn’t about multi-million-dollar brand activations—it’s about real relationships, businesses supporting athletes in their own communities, and athletes learning how to market themselves to create value beyond the track.

F1 has a massive fanbase, but let’s be real—it’s entertainment first, sport second. The majority of fans don’t have a direct connection to the drivers, and most sponsors are looking for global reach, not personal engagement.

Grassroots motorsport? It’s personal. Fans know the drivers, they follow their journeys, and they show up because they genuinely care. That’s what makes grassroots sponsorship so powerful—it’s built on real connections, not just brand visibility.
